He's never intended to get to such levels. Not so sure I'd consider something that isn't possible without cheats to be a bug.
Irrelevant. No other character has this problem. This is a widely known idiosyncrasy of 2D FF4 and it should have been fixed.
You don't need cheats. Ik it sounds totally unnecessary but for me I like killing Mom Bomb, a boss you aren't really meant to kill before it blows up. So prior to the fight I'd do a lot of grinding and get Rydia to around level 40 and slap the boss. A stat bug could be a little annoying if you're into messing with the game like that.
This is what I don't understand. If these Pixel Remasters were just FF1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 we could say they are all GBA 1.0 releases without bonus content. No mystery there. But this has FF3, which has never been released in 2D form outside the original Famicom. So what version is it running on? I ask because the in-battle menu is the same for the Pixel Remasters of 2, 3, and 4 (I haven't tried 1 yet). For example, you can no longer change equipment in battle in FF4. It's almost as though Square built a very modular, generic "Pixel Remaster" engine onto which they slap various components of whatever FF they want. Maybe that's why each game is so !$#@ huge to install compared to the original releases?
Even hitting 40 before Yang leaves requires quite a bit of intentionally over-leveling. Square Enix likely didn't believe anyone would spend 10+ hours to manually and intentionally grind Yangs level up to the point of hitting 60.
Heck... you can beat the whole game as low as like level 45.
Also.. You don't even need to grind to kill Mom Bomb really. If you're quick about it, you can take her our before the countdown at the standard level. Grinding just makes it easier to do.
dude, you are 5 hours in and you are at lvl 70 ...whom do you want to lie to?
In a cast of 14 playable characters, Yang is the only one with no HP data in his tables past 60. Square themselves acknowledged this bug by fixing it for at least 2 releases.
I'm interested. Can you see what on earth is going on with critical hits? They don't seem to happen at all.
yes it is a bug, but this version contains so many bugs from the previous version that the bug you found is no surprise ...in addition Yang is just a temporary character, noone important
Then complain it to that version.
In this one, it doesn't matter. Yang would be out of the party way earlier than that lv if you aren't insane, even with the lower Exp curve.
This is the equivalent of finding an out of bounds NPC that nobody would find in regular play. It was never supposed to be discovered, and it doesn't affect the game in any way.
Because it's an irrelevant "bug". It doesn't affect the game in any way, shape or form, unless you actively try to stumble upon it.
Mind you, I have my gripes with the game. It's a shame they didn't seem to try even after all the rebalancing that went on FF3 PR. But you people are whining about stuff so irrelevant, it doesn't even matter at this point.
