Your persistence is admirable in its own way I suppose.
See-sil
:motions: go back to page 1.. you shall see me there.. saying the same thing
and see-sil is perfectly acceptible. seeing as it's my cousens name. and how everyone has always said it
and no "different spelling" does not work it is literally cecil
edit: well actually it's more pronounced by him and my family "see-sl"
The original Welsh is "eh." The Japanese spelling is "eh." The voice acting is "eh." There is no ambiguity.
I'm not saying people should pronounce it one way. I'm saying the canon pronunciation of the default name isn't ambiguous at all
It's SEE-BRAINDAMAGEIFYOUSAYSEHSIL.
and you have the roman historical figure titus who is pronounced tie-tus. and the comedian same name same pronounciation.. people say tee-dus because japanese only have 1 sound for an i and it's the long ee sound. so KH comes out and his name gets said in japanese "tee-dus" and the translators and dubbers are like "maybe it's tee-dus?...."
it's bad translation
Says -Cil
So, it's not in any way related to the Japanese name.
As for how to pronounce it, well, I don't really care. It sounds pretentious and out of place either way and his name is the one that I am absolutely going to rename every playthrough.
Yea totally, All agreed - See-sil is the true name
