Pixel Remaster Drop Rates

I’m sorry if there has already been a Discussion about this, but has anyone figured out what the Drop Rates for the Rare Summons and Pink Tail are for the Pixel Remaster? In all other releases, the Drop Rate was 0.4%. A post-launch update supposedly has increased it. Has anyone discovered the new Drop Rates, however pitifully low it might be?

As far as I know, they just moved the Pink Tail and rare summons from 4th item slot to 3rd. So these items are hella easier to get.

The other rares are still on the 4th slot, so they are a pain to get (Giant Gloves, Artemis Bow, etc).

That’s nice. Still a low drop rate. Most items in the third slot had a 5% drop rate in the DS release.

I doubt this uses DS mechanics for drops. SFC/SNES mechanics were completely different from that and this isn't based on the DS.

I know. The DS version also had the advantage of Treasure Hunter, which doubled the drop rate of items.

But Pixel Remaster drop rates for summons / tail are far better now than DS rates, even considering the different drop mechanics.
As long as you have the item Alarm/Siren, you can get them pretty fast from 3rd item slot. I got 6 Pink Tails in less than 2 hours (maybe a lot less, around one hour).
Bomb is still a bit annoying because of no guaranteed encounter.

I hope I have that kind of luck. I was able to farm five Pink Tails in the DS release. Broke New Game + in half.

I managed to get Cockatrice, Mind Flayer, and 5 Goblin Summons. I did this without needing the Sirens. I just need to get Bomb and the Pink Tail now.

I have like 12 cockatrice summons and 7 goblins. I haven't even done Fabul yet. Granted, I'm grinding Rydia a bit for later but the rate is a lot higher than in older releases. More than once, I got a drop then got another a few fights later.

The fact that I managed to get the goblin summon tells me they are easier... or I am insanely lucky.

I got all of the Rare Summons. All I’ve got left is the Pink Tail.

Got the Pink Tail. If the Lunar Ruins or New Game+ was in the Pixel Remaster, I’d consider farming more.

I've been trying to farm Pink Tails in FFIV for the DS and it's MISERABLE! It's nice to hear that they've eased up on that a bit for the Pixel Remaster. Looking forward to playing that one

As much as I love the Pixel Remaster and the increased drop rates, I still prefer the DS Remake. The rebalanced difficulty and Augments combined with New Game+ makes it one of my favorite RPGs alongsides Final Fantasy VI and Live A Live.
