I think that the quality of life improvements of this version make it (for me) preferred to the GBA version. Thus far, this has been the only Pixel Remaster I felt a bit disappointed with, but only because the loss of party customization. I really enjoyed the new soundtrack and updated pixel art.
I like customization in my RPG but FFVI, I'm playing it and all these "original" skills in the game don't add to the game at all and see why they removed them.
I think FFIV is great, I think it's a classic, but this is just my opinion but all I've been using is fight command because the skill balance and magic and item casts are wack.
There still some great skills but the rest are absurd and lack luster.
