Goblin summon - anyone getting this?

I see there was a change made just before release to improve drop rates on summons like goblin and I confirmed the bestiary says goblin drops it... but I been grinding for an hour now and nothing. If it's bugged I'd like to know sooner rather than later :D

Damn, some of you are pretty lucky! My beastiary says I've killed 1195 goblins so far and I still haven't got one yet lol

Being the achievement ♥♥♥♥♥ that I am, I will have to go out of my way to farm the Goblins some more. I killed roughly 200 or so and haven't gotten the item. I'm not terribly concerned right now though. I'll just go on a binge farming spree towards the end of the game.

Just curious if the droprate is based on the battle or each enemy? It seems likely it's 0.4% per battle or? Can always go back later and farm instead. Seems pointless doing it at the start of game imo. I just like to grind to buy enough supplies early then move on.

Just got Goblin after about 3 hours of farming Baron and Mist Cave. I actually got Cockatrice from 125 Helldiver in about 30 minutes then the rest of the time was spent kicking 1300+ goblins in the face until Goblin dropped.

There is a forest on the same continent as castle Elban, there is no reason to go there. However Roc are an enemy in that forest. You will often encounter a group of one large Roc and three smaller Roc, a mother and babies? Anyway these birds have a chance to drop the cockatrice summon.. at least they did in the original American snes release.

Got mine off a LiL murderer. I figured i might as well farm lvls and the goblin drop at the same time.

Got Goblin after 3.5 hours in Mist Cave and just started farming Cockatrice at Mt.Hobs.

I got Goblin around 375 kills - little on the far side of the bell curve, but not too bad.

At 848 Mindflayers so far and giving up for the night... if my numbers are right that is slower than 95% of folks, but still short of the 99% mark. (50% is 178, 95% is 767, 99% is 1179... I've had time to think about it...)

I'm playing the 3D version. I decided to test it out by not leaving Baron area until I got Goblin. So far 6 hours in, level 24, and nothing. At 0.4%, that should be 1 in every 250 goblins, but I'm sure I've beaten more than that.

I started farming for it, the forest below Baron seemed to consistently produce goblin encounters. I got one after about 15 minutes, then I looked and saw I already had one, so I now have 2…..sigh…..I should have looked before I started, hahah

On the one hand, I get the sentiment. I just called someone out on that in another thread here.

On the other hand though, if you take away the necros you're just left with the occasional trolls. Not that trolls won't necro as well, but it's like ... I'd rather have a legitimate poster be "fashionably late" than suffer through that lars dude again.
