Helmets for dark knight?

So I've been grinding for gil and levels in the Ancient Ruins using Dark Knight, because of splitting enemies. The only problem with this is my Dark Knight takes way more damage than the rest of my party, because his defense is much lower than the rest of the party, and I attribute this discrepancy to the rather old Ice Helm.

So I've gone to Duster because I remember the Dark Knight could equip the Feathered Hat in the 3D remake, but apparently it can't in this version. So, now I'm wondering if there's anything better for DRK that I can get right now? I'm at the part just after I get the Invincible, for reference.

I think I was using the Ice Helm until I started getting Ribbons near the end of the game.
EDIT: No, wait. You get the Genji stuff in the Cave of Shadows. That's good.

That should be your next destination, as a matter of fact, after you get the Invincible.
There are a lot of secret passages in the cave, and that's where the gear is hidden.
