Geomancer backfire still in the game?

I have been using the geomancer and I have not missed a single enemy with the terrain ability, Can anyone else confirm that its not possible to miss, even while blind?

EDIT: Sorry for not explaining, in the NES version, the geomancer would backfire on himself if he missed all opponents, which was very possible, and I have continued to use the geomancer and he has not missed even once. So I think its gone.

Considering many of the other jobs got buffed, I wouldn't be surprised if they removed it. My Geomancer hasn't backfired yet either with the few battles I used him in.

They basically made Geomancer Mog now. Similar ability set like Dance from FFVI.

It's adjusted like the 3d version, no more backfire. :)

No backfire, and decent damage until you unlock Magus/Summoner
