Wild ideas that will most likely never happen:

* Cross-game randomizer. Enemies, items, weapons, spells, bosses. For example, play FF1, run into FF2 monsters.

* Cross-game mechanics. For example, play Final Fantasy 2 with Final Fantasy 3 job system, levelling and summons. Drool.

* Easy to install visual NPC replacers. For example, make the white mage in FF1 look like the Devout mage in FF3, or replace Guy in FF2 with Terra from FF6, that kind of stuff. I'm picturing a program where you select which character you want to replace, and then what you want to replace them with. I think that would be really cool, even if they obviously wouldn't be using the same skills and such.

Really the only mod d love to see soon is one that balances classes more and adds difficulty, since this games insultingly easy in this version and some classes are just stupid OP compared to others. Like vikings being immortal unless you purposely dont give them armor o Knights being outclassed by every other physical job despite getting the best weapons and armor in the entire game.

Honestly that seems like a bug. Really weird they have the most attack power and defense but ht for half of any other class and take way more damage for what seems like no reason at all.

Easily doable. We already have a full rebalancing mod for FFI, and a partial one for FFII. It is just a matter of time.

Is there anything that can get this to run a smooth 60 FPS when you walk? The microstutter is slight, but enough to bother me. I enabled Vsync externally, that wasn't it. It hits 58 as the screen scrolls, and MSI/Rivatuner can't fix it this time because it doesn't go OVER 60 (and that's always my go-to workaround...) Is that hard to modify?

Yup. Copied from the discord server by Exodus:

I have yet to test with an airship, but for now, setting the walk speed base multiplier to 0.32 (60 px / second) mimics the original perfectly. It's slower than the default game, but the default is faster than the original.

Open your GameAssembly.dll in a hex editor (e.g. HxD), and search for the bytes:
8f c2 75 3e

Replace these with:
0a d7 a3 3e

With a 60Hz monitor, you'll still get uneven frametimes and occasional stutters, but it's overall smoother.

If you have GSync/FreeSync, you can limit your FPS with RTSS to 59 for a perfectly flawless experience.

Diagonals still feel terrible, but I'm hoping we can just find a way to disable them since they feel out of place anyways.

However I'm not sure if this works on a specific FF or on all three. I just asked him. However a quick fix (that isn't quite as good) for 120hz monitors and greater, is to just uncap the FPS and set it to 120. You can use this https://github.com/darkxex/UnCapFF1PRemaster/releases/ or https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2561501231

I suggest absolutely joining the server though.
Cool. I haven't tried hex editing, but the instructions seem clear enough. I'll look into this.
I would love to see three or four different spite choices, for each class. I know they take quite a bit of work to create, but having male and female options for each, as well as an alternate outfit or color choice, would be huge. I'm currently using Marcelo's excellent mods for the sprites, but it bothers me that all four onion knights in FFIII look identical except for color, rather than having discernible male and female sprite models.
Nice. If you can add those endgame dungeons and bosses from other versions like the GBA/PSP, I'd definitely play these games again.

I know it's technically not this game, but is anyone working on modding the Pixel Remaster music into the 3D version, for III and, in the future, IV?

We don't allow backporting PR assets including the OST into the older games, since that could potentially hurt Square Enix's sales.

You know. I'm thinking about creating my own mods for Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster but I don't know where to start.
