Game won't launch

Howdy all. The game opened earlier today, then I closed it, then when I tried to open it again, it just doesn't. No black screen, no nothing. I've restarted my pc, I've deleted and reinstalled the game, I've checked all the other pixel remasters, they launch just fine, I have no idea what the issue could POSSIBLY be. It doesn't seem like anyone else has had this exact issue from what I can see. Thanks in advance

there has been reports that the updates are caused by antivirus / Firewall blocking, please check to re enable access in your anti-virus or firewall settings for the game exe

That seems... strange, because as mentioned it opened earlier today, and the other PRs open just fine... I'll give it a shot and check back

I'm having this same issue, and I played the game for 2.5 hours just fine and was grinding when the game crashed. Didn't think anything of it and now when I try to play the "Play" button changes to "Stop" like normal and nothing opens and it just fails to launch the game at all. No error message no nothing. All other Pixel remasters run just fine. Makes zero sense.

I've tried Restarting my machine, reinstalling the game, no luck on anything and when I google around no one else seems to be having this issue either.

32gigs DDR5
WIndows 11 Pro

I have updated all PRs and now any of them seems to launch... they just come back to steam screen.

I have disabled in-game "steam overlay", as Square-Enix support told me to do so and it is now working again. I dont know whay it suddenly stop working as I always used this option. Anyways...

I forgot about this thread for a minute, and I have kinda good, kinda bad news? The good news is, I no longer have this problem. The bad news is, I didn't change anything, so I have no idea what fixed it

Mine started working again once I unplugged a foot pedal switch that I use for P2T in discord....So not sure how that had anything to do with anything. But now that the game is working again I don't even have time to play it lol

I've been having the same issue, but I fixed it on my end. I have a multiple monitor setup originating from a laptop. I unplugged all of my monitors and launched the game from the laptop and that worked. Then I just dragged it over to the monitor I wanted. No idea if that'll help anyone, but it worked for me.
