Softlocked the game? (Dreadnought Password Missing Bug?)

I have retrieved the mithril and gone to Altair and the rebel spy guard won't let me through. I only have three passwords (Airship, Mithril, and Wild Rose) and when I go all the way back and talk to Hilda, there are no new passwords available.

In walkthroughs it looks like she's suppose to teach me airship and dreadnought? But I learned airship from the guy next to cid and I never learned dreadnought from anyone. Am I screwed?

Did you actually give the Mithril to the blacksmith dude? That is a required event IIRC, to unlock the Dreadnought term.
You also might have to actually show Hilda the Mithril key item, it is one of the options on the menu when you speak with her.

What happens if you give Mithril to the blacksmith first instead of showing it to Hilda?, because I did this by error, and when I talked to Hilda later it's like if that conversation was omited(also normal people around stopped talking about it), then she instead talked about the Dreadnought, did I ♥♥♥♥ something by doing this?

I don't think so, if she mentions the Dreadnought it should be learnable.. I saw others that said if you get this, re-start the game and it might help.
