How many people keep the 4th party member dead?

Since we don't have to worry about the DLC content atleast for now , i figured there is no point in keeping the guest party member alive anymore. All they do is take away stat gains from the 3 cores.

Bonus content. What ever stats and gear your guest party members have when they leave you. They get back when you play the DLC / Bonus Story.

The stat gains during the game were already ridiculous enough even with the 4th party member alive. I just auto attacked through every boss fight without even needing to grind because the stat gains were so high.

I never went out of my way to kill them, but they always seemed to end up dead eventually regardless. It was fine, I almost always had a new party member by then.

Well... I'm already at 5k hp so... I mean I'm not actively trying to kill them but having a 500 hp leila go with me to Mysidia is just a sponge of phoenix downs.

I'm not sure if you're aware yet, but there isn't any bonus content on the pixel remasters.

I think most people used to keep their number 4 dead, until the GBA version introduced Soul of Rebirth and gave you a reason to keep them alive. It's the only bonus content I liked.

Calling it DLC is inaccurate, though.

DLC = DownLoadable Content. This game has no DLC. The GBA version definitely didn't have DLC, as DLC as a concept didn't even exist yet.

Yeah Minwu is the only one of them of any significant power when he joins, for me at least. The final member did not take long to at least become somewhat useful though.

Minwu was actually instrumental in my breaking the game for me, since he made doing all kinds of things early much easier than if it was only the main three.

Well yes. Minwu is useful to keep alive, which is hard enough for me since getting him=going to mysidia (Base him can one-shot undead tho so he's still useful on the way).

It bothers me I had no memory of any of the rotating party members other than the last. Go figure the best comes first, but I suppose that makes sense since he's basically training wheels for the game.

Yeah I don't bother with guests characters too. They're just stealin growth from the regulars!
