Is there any reason to play these over the PSP version?

Autobattle seems cool, but from what I've been reading there's a bunch of new bugs and all the extra content got cut. Are there any significant improvements that would make this worth buying that I might not know about?

They rebalanced FF2 in a way that I'd characterize as not bad, not good, just different. I'd recommend trying out the pixel remaster or at least researching the changes made to see if the new gameplay vibes with you, and then choosing a side from there.

PSP versions are better but not %100 optimized for play on big screen. Using Emulation or TV adaptors degrades things.

You mean the one bug? The only bug I've heard about is the one that messes up shaders for people whose OS is set to a non-US region format. There's a lot of complaining about a status effect "bug", but that's not a bug.

emulation does not degrade performance or graphics, sorry to tell ya.

If you want a challenge, psp. The pixel remasters seem easy compared to the psp ports of the first 2 games. That's just my opinion though and I'm prolly wrong.
