Pixel Remasters on CRT?
Since these are pixelated games and our LCD monitors have no shadow masks, I am keen on finding how these remasters would look like on CRT TVs or monitors.

I personally still own Sony Trinitron, but I have no idea how to connect my PC to the CRT TV having only SCART and composite outputs.

You can buy adapters to get HDMI to SCART or Composite.

There's a 'classic' display mode in the options which resembles an old CRT display - although it's very basic the overall effect is quite nostalgic.

You want to buy an actual signal converter for HDMI to scart. It will cost $60-100. Getting just a simple adapter will degrade too much information in the signal.

But sometimes a little signal degradation is desirable to get the proper blur effect or dithering if your TV is too high definition. HDMI to composite may even be a better option. I'd be curious to see some comparisons.

Personally, I wouldn't spend the money, unless you plan to play lots of retro games on your PC or if you want to hook up a modern console to your trinitron. And the problem with the latter is how everything is widescreen these days.

It looks too blurry. I have PS1´s FF games so I can see how these games look like on CRT in real and in real they are much sharper and scanlines are basically invisible

if it´s as expensive as you are claiming then I will just forget it. Not worth buying just for these games

If you dont want to spend the money and are just curious, a cheap adapter is still a viable option. It just won't give you the sharpest possible image.

They are not that expensive. You can get some for $20 or less. I bought a cheap one off of Amazon and it works fine. I am looking to get one that is more compact but still it functions as it should.

Maybe try some shader injector first. I doubt the game engine supports a low enough output resolution to give a reasonable CRT gaming effect when output on a CRT screen supporting that high resolution. Using a shader would achieve the very same effect and cost you nothing and be more hassle free.
