But sometimes a little signal degradation is desirable to get the proper blur effect or dithering if your TV is too high definition. HDMI to composite may even be a better option. I'd be curious to see some comparisons.
Personally, I wouldn't spend the money, unless you plan to play lots of retro games on your PC or if you want to hook up a modern console to your trinitron. And the problem with the latter is how everything is widescreen these days.
It looks too blurry. I have PS1´s FF games so I can see how these games look like on CRT in real and in real they are much sharper and scanlines are basically invisible
if it´s as expensive as you are claiming then I will just forget it. Not worth buying just for these games
They are not that expensive. You can get some for $20 or less. I bought a cheap one off of Amazon and it works fine. I am looking to get one that is more compact but still it functions as it should.
