I'm going to lean towards this. I slowly beat the game in 12 hours, then spent 5 on Warmech. We should screenshot the exact places on the bridge where he spawned. I know mine was first 3rd closer towards the entrance.
I was reading a walkthrough trying to find it and it said something like "hard hits to single target, kill it before it casts Nuke". All it did when I fought it was NukeNukeNukeNukeNukeNukeNukeNuke every round from the start.
go to google and search for cheat engine, its free to use. you are looking up other shady stuff thats why they are behind a paywall.
There's no trick or RNG maniuplation. Just stay on the bridge.
I got him after 20-30 minutes, you're able to get through a ton of fights very fast this way, definitely not much sense in killing all the guys.
I was able to beat him at level 44. No genji armour though, wonder if its in this one?
Chaos was pretty tough, definitely harder than Warmech. Had to fight Chaos a second time to beat him (level 49). Man those end credits scrolled forever.
Anybody find anything new to do once you reload after completion?

Sample size is not the issue (even two or three players reporting 2+ hour wait times would be enough to establish statistical incompatibility of the data with the results); although non-random sample selection in the complaining is.
Anyway it's all moot, I went into the game's data files and data mined the actual answer.
WarMech's encounter rate is 1 in 100.
The exact encounter table for the map is:
So these are the 14 possible encounters that take place in encounter set 33 (the bridge leading to Tiamat). Warmech is in enemy pack 261, so his encounter rate is 10. The sum of all the other encounter rates is 990, plus Warmech's 10, so that's 10/1000 = 1 in 100.
