XS OVERLAY NOT LAUNCHING

my XS overlay was working fine before updating my drivers a few days ago, now it wont work at all. I press launch, it acts as if its going to open by the "loading" change on the button, then immediately goes back to a "play" green button, which means it didnt launch. Any fixes?? I've already tried to run it as an admin by changing the compatibility in properties, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, and have obviously rebooted my PC many times since its been days.

ah so im not alone pretty annoying, it decided recently that it dose not want to launch

use old launch method, it works that way

what is the old method? ive always launched through steam. i did try to set it up last night to launch with steamvr but that dident work, tryed verifying files, tryed reinstalling, what elce is there?

when launching the app, steam gives you 2 options, the default and the old start. for me at least the old start has worked

I tried the old method and the result is no different. XSOverlay seems to just be dead in the water.

so i got it to work for me by going into the program file and launching the programe as administrater straight from the file. then i had to let it past my firewall. so i think it might be a firewall issue? eather way this worked for me, tad inconveenyent having to launch it from the program file rather than steam. but thats what worked for me

on top of that i also went into the exicutables propertys and told it to always launch as admin as well

This issue has been going on for over 9 months for myself and other people. many issues and problems with no 100% clear way on fixing it and little to no input from the developers. As someone else mentioned in this thread, it may be dead in the water
