The new capture API is brilliant. And a few questions
The new capture API works so well! It can capture a lot of windows that weren’t recognized by the old API. The old API also tends to freeze my whole system when I try to capture a Chrome window that was too large - not having this issue with the new API. Very happy with the performance!

A few questions:
- is there a way of setting default FPS for a new window? I tend to set them to max value (144) because lower FPS makes typing feel clunky. But I didn’t seem to find a way to set it automatically for me. Is that not an option for now?
- the new API seem to add a yellow outline around the window that’s being captured. I’m not bothered by this too much but is there a way to disable it?

Thanks again for making this great piece of software. It’s truly brilliant. Once I upgrade to a higher resolution headset (G2 or Vive pro 2) from Index, I think it’s possible to do text work, such as coding, in the HMD. This is unrealistically convenient.

1) There's not a way to set the default FPS currently, but that can be added to the settings menu like Window Opacity has, and I've added it to the to-do list.

2) The new API is Windows Graphics Capture based, which will force a yellow border. This is a "security" feature of the API forced by Microsoft and cannot be removed. Yellow borders should only be visible if you have a capture within a capture, or on the physical desktop.

Glad you like the software!
Hi,

I am having issues with being able to use/interact with OBS inside my Valve Index headset. I can see OBS open, however the mouse/control pointer will not select any options. I noticed there is a yellow boarder around the OBS window. I am a streamer and it's making streaming on the Index an awful experience as I have to come out of the headset and manually go to my PC the other side of the room. I watch other streamers being able to interact with OBS all the time. Are you able to help me with this please? I have submitted a support ticket, however, I haven't had a reply to the actual issue.

Thanks in advance.

I feel like you should make a new post so the dev has a better chance seeing your question.

Does your OBS run in admin mode? I noticed XS Overlay doesn't play nice with programs running in admin mode

Also what the Dr said, should really make a separate topic next time
