XS Overlay and Elite Dangerous
Hi,
i am searching for a tool that allows me to show browser windows or something like Netflix
inside Elite Dangerous to pass the time performing the more tedius tasks ingame.
It would be nixe to have this window fixed at one point.

Since i am quite new to VR i would like to know, if this tool is able to provide that.

Many Regards

Yes. You can create a panel that shows your desktop, or a specific window like your browser, or a movie player window, pin it so it shows up even when you close the rest of the overlay functions, and choose whether it will always show, or auto-hide when you're not looking directly at it.

It's great for playing a movie, or keeping chat windows with steam friends, discord, etc visible. For most VR games, I usually keep a browser window pinned and auto-hid on the back of my left hand at all times... for Elite Dangerous (since I believe that's played with Mouse/keyboard or a normal controller, right?) I'd just leave the window bound to a static spot in the play area and position it somewhere slightly out of the way in my cockpit or something.

@TheManiac did it work? I was able to use the natural Index options to bring a screen into my cockpit. However, the problem was that the video froze after no more than 10 seconds but the audio kept playing. If i keep the netflix as the dominant window, then my inputs don't work for moving about in game. I am shopping around for VR software that can resolve this, however I am unclear on if this one will work.

@Wisp: It worked as promised. Although i dont play Elite currently due to many other games screaming for attention, the Overlay worked as a charm, i even managed to put the Display wherever i wanted in the Size i wanted. It realy was like pinning an Ipad running Netflix in your cockpit ;)
