Check with what you are comfortable (oc heavy armor has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dash...) and then go for attributes only.
Strength = Basic Damage
Agility= Crit Chance
Con/ HP+ = your lifebar (tbf I dont really know what "Con" does...)
just kick in as many Strength gems asap as you can. Bit of HP+/Con is ok, specially if you are a "not-so-good" player like me. Stamina can be ignored, gotta learn the combo timings anyway.
Agility is cool for later, I think.
You can go for different stat-stones in your weapon for Bosses, I think. But I can only confirm that you can debuff Silicon Visage till kingdom come...
There are daggers duals exist in this game, but i couldn't use them, cus couldn't combo with them well. So i ended up with dual katana, and they`re super good for me, im really use to their moves super fast, and their skills are amazing
about armor - I've noticed only 1 difference between heavy armor and light, it`s feels like you're faster in all ways while using light armor. But it`s could be only my imagination.
So use whatever you like. I was using full Samurai`s light armor, cus i do like how it`s looks
About stats:
Str = damage
Con = Hp
Agi = Stamina, crit chance, crit damage
Int = Mana, spell damage
Only this 4 core stats are important, others like + pure hp or pure stamina or + resist are sh`t.
Because the game doesn`t have any lvls, you build gonna be your stones inside your armor(any), and you can change build in 2 sec just by using other armor with different sats stones inside or just change stones inside yours, but it`s gonna be a waste of materials.
Only 1 thing that you should choose carefully it`s perks and their upgrades. This is gonna be your build that you couldn`t change to the end on game. I picked up Dual master so i bound my self to dual weapons only and it`s was a little sad.
Perks im really recommend to have it`s: Vampirism and Natural talent (with upgraded you main stat)
if you realy want a dual-weapon: go Kama; nothing beats their passive and their combo is easy to keep up
the perks mentioned by Dainemo are okay. i'd probably recommend getting tinkerer aswell, and the perma upgrade (although that's slightly bugged).
with combo heavy weapons like dual-weapons the combo-perk is however one of the biggest damage buffs you can get next to pure crit-damage.
the most important thing in this game as Dainemo mentioned: go pure attribute when it comes to equipment and gems;
also your offhand set seems to apply even though you are wielding your main hand; which means +boni on the 2nd set still apply (although i don't know if this is a bug or intentional).
so getting a 1handed weapon and a shield in your 2nd set, will net you a total 5 more gem slots.
