2 Handed Weapons' Animations Needs Addressing
The initiative to replace animations allegedly taken from Souls/Elden Ring are truly commendable.
However I have to say, the animations on a lot of 2 handed weapons really needs significant improvements. Not the sharp greatweapons like Titanslayer and Divine Greataxe, those are insanely good. I'm talking about their lighter counterparts.

Claymores are not only comically slow, it has hilariously shorter reach than the 1 handed sharp/blunt weapon class.
Regarding blunt weapons, 2 handed blunt weapons like 2 handed axes and hammers are good for most of the part, but they have this weird really slow followup animation on one of their attacks (specifically that slow windup animation from left to overhead chop). This particular slow attack animation made 2 handed axes and hammers felt terribly detrimental.

Also, 2 handed blunt greatweapon like Armor Buster and The Greathammer are also terribly slow compared to their sharp counterparts I mentioned above. These in my honest opinion also needed addressing.

Unless these issues are addressed, 2 handed weapons and blunt greatweapons are to be honest, felt very terrible to play around with. I hope these are addressed in next patch.

all claymore are too slow for me - in first area its ok ... in the desert with the fast skelonwarrior - pain to land a hit for me(heavy hit - no way) so i use the twinblade - the most heavy weapon are too slow for me - so do not use them .. fun killer ... i am not gitgud :d

exactly, and oh man those skeletons in Desert areas man. they are insanely unbalanced tbh. I'm all for fast enemies but these skeletons makes Sonic looks like a wimp.
They can stagger you easily even with high Constitution and the ones with Black Flesh on them doesn't even have a proper stagger animation so they just wail and wail on you relentlessly.

Best strategy for desert skeletons is to just run. They will catch up to you but they will drop back when doing an attack animation.
The claymore animation speed could use an increase. At least when strength is higher. It would be fine as is, until you get past Konrad.

+1 Almost all of the two handed swords and other weapons need some love, including significant increases in reach and weapon speed. The Claymore is nigh unusable. The sword you get from the first boss works really well, so no changes needed with that one (at least in my opinion).

Cheers!

The Skeletons are the worst part of the game, and that's especially true for the floating Skeletons, though Mechanomad Staff's Ability kind of saves you from them.

yeah, Faussart and Halberds in general are still good, but they still could use improved animations all the same.
