One easy way to kill Red Knights
There are a lot of different builds focused on maxing out strength and using a 2-handed weapon. But, if you want to delete them from range you can use the Arcane Bow's ability that sends out 10-15 (I'm not sure) homing arrows and can seriously hurt them from a distance if you slot in gems with decay, critical damage, critical hit, armor penetration, etc. This is most effective when you've hit MK4 and tier-2 gems. I can kill them all in one shot.

It's good for both strength and agility builds. It's also really solid at clearing out weak mobs in an area because it goes through walls. The downside is that the recharge is 25 seconds.

Two good areas for farming:

1) The Sewer-Center has a bow knight once you get off the elevator you can bum rush with a melee weapon. The walk back/forth is a pain though.

2) My current favorite is in Deluge there are 3-4 of them on the pathway before you hit the water. In the long corridor to the little island temple, on the right-hand side you can jump over some pipes and none of them can reach you. You can safely kill them from a distance with a bow if you aim for their head even at a low level.

Put down the Homonculus around the entrance to the island temple right when you come off the narrow walkway. You have immediate access to the pipes/safe area and can kill them more efficiently. Bows do insane damage in this game because they ignore armor (at least the piercing ones). As a bonus you gets tons of mats from the diver enemies because it's the most enemy dense area in the game I've come across.

Ah I kinda glossed over that bow. Seemed like none of the techno stuff did much damage do you need techno penetration for it to be good?

I ignored the bows for about 20/24 hours of my play through until I saw how much damage the Arcane Bow did, especially with decay gems for harder enemies to penetrate their high defenses.

It's also great for the Asylum Boss if you're struggling with getting in close to her since the timing can be tight. Using the Kamas weapon you can refill your FX pretty quickly with a flux leech gem.

For bosses with crazy AOE or spinning attacks. Sheathe your weapon! You will run and roll faster/further. It's the only way I found to not die to her spinning attack that stun locks you to death.

I did a primary STR, secondary AGI (for the crits) build. So, I have no idea about magic builds, but they seem to require very specific perks, equipment, etc. to start seeing crazy numbers.

Interesting, ill check it out. I was using dual blades and that bow with the charge shot for awhile but felt pidgeonholed into using heavy weapons now since enemies are so tanky after calibrating

Where do you get the Arcane bow from?

Red knights is one of the things that have made me want to stop playing this game. I am not in end game and they one shot me..and I have maxed out gear (so far) and slotted gear.. Not sure why they appear all over the place before I should be ready to face them.
