Stealth/backstabs

Every time I try to sneak up on someone they seem to turn around at the last moment even though I am both crouching AND walking (by pressing X by default on KB).

Anyone knows if you can sneak up/backstab in this game?

Don't think you can backstab. I have not been able to.

You can sneak on some enemies though not on all - not sure if wearing a heavy clunky armor that make noise has anything to do with them spotting/hearing you.

So on the ones you can sneak I usually do heavy attack instead.

neither can i reproduce backstabs not the finishers many/most trailers/demos were showing, even trying the invisibility ability only leads to standart attack when facing an enemies back.
but tbh. might be that i'm missing something.

Yea I heard that the stealth system that was shown off in all the trailers and early game play demo was removed for one reason or another. Common theory is that it made the game too easy so it was removed for balancing purposes. Really sucks they removed it because playing a sneaky rogue character was the sole reason I bought the game only to find out after I bought the game that it was no longer possible.
