Very little chance, as there are still a lot of other things that require our attention.

I know this thread is pretty old but I think it would be good for anyone else wondering about linux support to know the following:

I completed the whole game and hardcore challenge mode while running the game thru proton with no issues or crashes. I'm running Mint Linux + Cinnamon ver 20.2 which is an Ubuntu compatible flavor of Linux, btw.

In the future if you're wondering about the compatibility status of a game on steam you can search for the specific game on ProtonDB and see what other nix users say about it and what workarounds they needed.
