Chameleon is Translucency + Fade In on hover
Peek is already a hotkey.
You can review this announcements to see New Features in Fences 5: https://www.stardock.com/news/525701/now-on-steam-fences-5
Thank you,

It has a higher price and a subscription model, but since it is 29.99, it might be a forever key. If you buy on StarDock it's 9.99 and it is a yearly sub. I'll be sticking with Version 4.
This!
There is a new featureto make Peek accessible on the taskbar via a button that is always present - meaning you can enable it with your mouse which cannot be done in F4. It sounds simple but it was a significant undertaking about how you create an app (that's not an app) that lives on the taskbar, doesn't close, and functions the way the user expects.
As noted, the license on Steam is a perm key, you do not need to update from Fences 4 to Fences 5, F4 (and F3) will continue to work as they do today.
That doesn't tell me anything about the new features that were in 4 though, if there even were any.
At this point, I feel no need to upgrade from 3.
You could refer here for what has change since Fences 2. Fences change log: https://www.stardock.com/products/fences/history
Jokes aside, Peek and Chameleon are nice-to-have, but not for THAT high price. Not even close!
Sorry, no. :-(
How do you justify that much of a bulge in price?
A: YES
With a service...
This new feature is not that valuable and this is the same false advertising nonsense pulled with start11 V2 which lists new features that were just the same as the previous version except on steam you can't pull that up because it's hidden.
Also here is one for your dev team... Start11 V2 oddly has the same feature set if the only file replaced from the prior version is the exe and likewise if you install V2 and replace that exe with the prior 1.5 exe... It's identical.
How is that even possible? Ask me how I know
Start11 v2 is a MASSIVE upgrade over v1. The most notable feedback we have received with Start11 v2 is '...you are not charging enough for it.' To say that Start11 is the same with a new name is just nonsensical and, sadly, taints any other feedback surrounding such a claim.

But guess, what ist NOT in it?
Fences 5!
Ta-ra!
It was clear that this would not be included, right?
As long as Fences 5 will not be available for about 10 to 12 € then they can keep it! :-D
If you mean Fences 3, while it may install and 'work' on Windows 11, it's not officially supported, no.

i was using fences 3 for so long,
.....up till i upgraded from windows 10 to windows 11...
to which i've noticed the fences and desktop icons i have in them take quite a while to appears =/
which kinda sucks because
im not bothered about the added features fences 4 might have had and 5 has
as i personally only use fences....
for 2 things
"tidy desktop"
and a "hover open and open, drop box"
not really seeing a reason to use the extra stuff thats been added
like the peek or whatever it is
....if i was gonna "peek" at the location... might as well just open the folder where i have the games or what not, click it and close the folder,
and for the chameleon or whatever it is....
mah,,,, the color looks like the colour of something else to bland in with something or other?
ill be honest. i dont know what it does ...
but like i said... i only ever used fences for 2 things.....
to tidy up my desktop and group them up.....
having to buy a new fences program to have pretty much the only things i used fences 3 for actually work on windows 11 blows hard.....
but... that said i've already been forced to buy a newer version of something as it is due to games like far cry 6 suddenly not working correctly on windows 10,
to turn around and work perfectly on windows 11 >.<
if this follows the path we already know its going to take...
we'll be forced to upgrade to windows 12,
and when windows 12 comes out ofcourse fences 6 will come out
