Game launching in 16:10 with 30fps cap on ROG Ally running Bazzite/SteamOS
Hi all,

I am playing the game on an Asus ROG Ally X running Bazzite (SteamOS), which has a 16:9 aspect ratio screen. When I launch the game, it is forcing it into 16:10 aspect ratio. I have to change the resolution every time I start the game to correct it. Even if a 16:9 resolution is selected (eg 1600x900), and the game is restarted, it is forced into a 16:10 aspect ratio every boot.

The game also launches with what appears to be a 30fps cap, even if the ingame settings set a higher cap. Per above, changing a setting and reverting the changes fixes the aspect ratio but also removes the 30fps cap.

I understand this is probably due to the game thinking I have a steam deck, due to running SteamOS/Bazzite.

Is it possible to edit a config file or launch option to ensure the game boots in 16:9 without a 30fps cap? I have used -fullscreen which appears to work fine, but the 30fps remains.

Thank you for your help.

I did manage to find the equivalent of the AppData folder in the Linux/SteamOS file system for Wayfinder, and have access to the various .ini files here (eg. Engine.ini, GameUserSettings.ini, etc), if there is something in here that I could edit?

Located here:
/var/home/*DEVICENAME*/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1171690/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Wayfinder/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor

I just did a clean install and noted the following:
- First boot, game ran totally fine, 60fps at 16:9 aspect ratio.
- Closed and restarted the game, 30fps cap started and 16:10 forced aspect ratio.

I found deleting the contents of the /var/home/*DEVICENAME*/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1171690 folder would revert the system back to 60fps/16:9, so the creation of the contents of the folder (probably ini files?) is making this happen.
