Remnant 2 is very similar and excellent, more guns focussed but similar systems.

hi..

the more RPG, exploration part of this game, would share similar mechanics to Kingdoms of Amalur. another really good game that was slated to be an mmo and had to change to single player to recoup time and equity. highly recommend. around 80-100hrs worth.

edit: put in a link.

all the best.

edit 2: there is great action play, very fluid.. the dungeon crawling aspect is there as well. the world is very large and expansive. there is housing. what koa does not share with wayfinder is a gaming loop with proc gen like mapping/crawling. the story is ok at best.

It's more like a co-op dungeon-crawling focused classical MMORPG (cooldown-based skillbars and the like), but "Dungeons of Sundaria" might scratch some of the itch you're looking for:

There's some solid fun to be had there.

Ordinarily I'd recommend "Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance" but given that the multiplayer servers are being shut down at the end of February 2025 I can't really do so in good conscience.

With that said, despite some jank and general weirdness, as well as being balanced more around co-op play (with team follow-up attacks as a mechanic in addition to general difficulty) the combat is pretty robust, with lots of combo options and fairly substantial mechanical depth, though a number of mechanics are not particularly well explained. For what it's worth, the game will still be playable in single-player.

It also might have the single worst advertisement video for a videogame in recent memory, which is a shame because the game is not terrible.

This franchise is extremely similar; i highly recommend it; it's single player though; but both darksiders 2 & 3 are just extremely good & fun to play if you're looking for similar gamestyle

Last one sorta interesting considering the company that made Wayfinder, Airship Syndicate, both made Darksiders Genesis and founding members were part of Vigil Games who made Darksiders 1 + 2

while its a bit of a hard recommend, i can recommend the OG dragon's dogma, it has really good action rpg combat with fun boss fights, it also has some fun dungeon running, although mostly in the included dlc and endgame, its always pretty cheap and goes on sale alot https://store.steampowered.com/app/367500/Dragons_Dogma_Dark_Arisen/
