Does this really require an SSD?

It's quite a large install and i'm running low on space so would rather install this onto a fast HDD but store page says it requires an SSD.

Anyone playing on a mechanical HDD at all and how is it?

While my main drive is a SSD, I have it on my HDD drive on my laptop(second drive) and it loads a bit slow, but it runs well. No problems playing it. My SSD doesn't have enough room either.

It works fine on hdd every once and awhile you will get a quick skip but hardly noticeable

In 2024 why wouldnt you have only SSD? I mean, when i start my old pc up that has the old style HDD, i dont have to be on that for very long before i see why i like the SSD more. Also, they dont cost that much today if you look back at the prices when they came out

I do. I have two 2TB NVME drives.
I just don't want a game i don't play that much to occupy 50gb on them.

I have it on my older game machine, no issues. my gaming rig with the SSD is getting full with bigger games.
