Best dagger type for Niss?
Just curious if there is a consensus

When in doubt, whatever boosts Ability Power for Niss tends to work well, at least for me. Sure, some of her stuff got nerfed a smidge but it hasn't really prevented AP builds from feeling good and impactful.

Depends on affinity you picked. I personally don't even run daggers and prefer weapons like covetous or bloodsong as most of my affinity points are invested into purple so for me the best dagger set is umbros.

Nightshade.
If for some reason you can't get Nightshade, Umbros.
Good stats. Fast and powerful 'weapon ability' for activating flurry.

All the daggers have WP/AP/CR/CP + 2 other stats (except God Bleeder, but daggers are awful at Break Power). Nightshade is Max HP and Mag Defense, the first of which every character likes, and the second synergises with archanist talents that give damage shields.

Do you mean night's edge? Or Nightshade the rifle?

Dont play Niss, they neffed her way to much when you compare dmg with the other classes right now lol
I guess some jackass got mad that she could be played on the full story line and cryed NERF...
You could enable cheats and then be allowed to do Full story quest line or just play another class that can do way more dmg than Niss and without you doing anything special other than psuh one button :lunar2019laughingpig:
No, im not going to tell you what that class is, cause then they will nerf that too, you can even do eyes roll on the Hard boss named Fallen Greedlord(the only boss i ever died to Before i found this out) with that one :O

Niss is still the most OP character even after the nerfs.

I gotta side with Elveone here. The nerf to Niss, while it's definitely present and you can feel it, is ultimately pretty insignificant. She's more than capable of handling whatever the game cares to throw at her.

Really all the characters are basically viable; some have a harder time than others depending on how you've kitted them out, and some feel like they need a little more love (namely Senja imo, but I don't really know how I'd go about changing her to make her better that wouldn't be either stale or too much of a general rework - I like her existing theme and mechanics, they just don't always help her succeed as I'd like. But with that said, she's still totally viable to play through the game with). I would broadly agree with Elveone's assertion that Niss is arguably the strongest character in the game even post-nerf - certainly I had zero problem with anything using her post-patch.

You're totally allowed to disagree; in this case though I'd recommend a policy of "put up or shut up" rather than being cagey - because again, the nerf did not-repeat-not make Niss substantially worse than any of the rest of the cast in my experience.

Yes it did.
When not everyone can complete the story line with one class, then you know you did something wrong.
And for the comment on "put up or shut up" Your prolly one of those that did complain about the class and to that, i only have this to say, people that nerf something for single play have something you call Mental disorder. Now go focus on that "put up or shut up"!

legit the biggest moron ive ever seen, niss is by far the best character for solo play if built right you just gotta not be a moron with your kit and if you manage that you basically avoid 80% of damage while also generating a full health bar of shields oh and cant forget the amazing damage you do all the while.

You're just objectively wrong. It's not that hard to complete story with any character, and Niss has some of the highest burst potential in the game. She just insta-phases bosses because her damage output is so bonkers. Seems like a L2P issue on your part. You probably shouldn't be so confident/insistent on an issue you're clearly ignorant about.

Doesn't have to be those echo slots specifically, but those do work.

Niss is cool but I stand by my girl, Venomess as being one of the best solo characters with daggers. To each's own though.
