You can find most items here https://wayfinder.atma.gg/en/Style so there you can see what you like and dont like.
It is just about grinding and people who dont like that, move on after they are done with story.
Good luck and have fun.
(played only for 190ish hours so far)
Sorry, if you bought it You literally been scammed, this isnt really a game just convincingly pretends to be one
In a single player/coop game like Wayfinder you come to a point where you have played most content through ... then you have to wait normally for a next DLC (which mostly last one year or so) ... meantime make a pause, play other games, and come back in some months.
There's reason to be skeptical about the game industry, and capitalism more broadly, but one must remain within reason.
This take left reason behind quite a while ago and is just lazy pessimism.
You can be unsatisfied with the game as it is now, but I think it's clear that the devs did their best given the situation. Most studios in a similar situation would simply scrap the game leaving everyone disappointed.
As a game industry nerd, the game's history is the sole reason I bought it. It's so unusual to see a game shift from an MMO to a single player game; I had to see it for myself how the studio make that shift.
So far, after getting a character to level 30, I'm really enjoying the unique feel I'm getting. Wayfinder is loaded with the archaeological remains of a predatory microtransaction infested live service game, but repurposed as a more ethical experience at a single cheap price point. It hits all the dopamine and instant gratification mechanics without the constant grind or opening of wallet. It's a rare experience that I hope players appreciate, and with any luck people will find it and allow the studio to keep developing it if they're still passionate about it.
I know Airship pissed in your cheerios (clearly) but can you please stop spouting such senseless ridiculous BS?
Just to let you know you can swap in and out between all characters on the same save file if you want without having to restart the campaign :) Some people don't know that!
Other things to do include
-Ascending characters (5 star)
-Ascending weapons (5 star)
-Ascending Echoes
-Collecting armor/cosmetics/echoes/etc
-Decorate your house!! :) (This is unlocked after progressing the story)
-Do the job boards to help out the NPCs for rewards (This is unlocked after progressing the story)
-Collect all memory fragments for all characters
-Level up all characters to 30 (Max abilities/affinity/talents)
-Unlocking all 100lvls of the 2 reward towers
-Do side quests to learn lore
-Beat the hidden World Boss
There's also apparently mythics available, but haven't gotten far enough yet to get any. Hope this helped some!

And the mounts, dont forget that to farm
I am in a similar boat. Saw the game a while ago trough steam discovery queue and ignored it because at that point it was unfinished and i don't like free to play mmo games (*huge rant about pay 2 win and pay 4 convenience goes here*).
However after hearing their story and seeing how they changed directions after the whole publisher debacle changed my mind and i insta bought it with my friend. This game kinda reminds me of Kingdoms of Amalur which was supposed to be a MMO game as well but ended up being solo only ARPG. I really like this idea of single-player games with light feel of MMORPGs.
And of course i bought the supporter pack because i would like to see more of this game in the future. Considering how rare these are we need to support them as much as possible.
