party finder?

is there a random matchmaking queue for dungeons or party finder to play with people like league of legends, darktide,etc. Or just play with steam friends type of deal?

Yes, once unlocked after reaching "The Highlands" pause your game and you can adjust your party settings

The options are

Offline, friends only, or public. You can also enable or disable crossplay. I leave it enabled

You can also click "find party", to open the server browser. It will show a steam or PS5 icon to see who's hosting. You can search by difficulty and level. You can also see what mission they're on. And if world scaling is enabled.

Then you just join and your seamlessly loaded into their world. Just note if the host teleports to a new area or begins a mission you'll TP with them.

Do you need this party browser to connect to someone, or can two Steam friends establish their connection directly just through Steam? I know the dev has said the networking is a serverless peer to peer, so I'm looking for whether you need any 3rd party server presence to make that connection and get playing together.
