Is this a full offline game now?
Just want to make sure stuff is separate from any severs in case the game doesn't do well.

Yep full offline!

You need to allow it to connect to the internet to load your saves. I dont see how this is an offline game.

This is inaccurate, you can load up your save when not being online and play it offline or on a Steam Deck etc.

It is not incorrect. I have tested it. If i allow the game to connect to the "Atlas" (i think that was the name, it has been a couple days) server with my firewall I can play the game and load my save. If i block internet access for the game it will not load saves.

What are you talking about??? There is not "Atlas" to connect to. If you play offline, the game shows a message telling you, that you now play offline and can't connect to others in coop. It loads your saves just fine.

I have refunded the game so I can not test this, but my firewall will tell me the name of the server plus the ip and a lot of other info when a process whats to connect. As I said in my post I could be wrong on the name (pretty sure it was atlas). It doesnt matter what the developers named it btw. Your point you are arguing is in fact the issue that needs to be fixed. The developers assumed that only people without internet access can play in offline mode. My issue and the issue of others is that we block software from connecting the internet while still maintaining access to other programs.

i played offline, no connection, internet access off. i was abble to load my save.

The issue you're describing sounds like you misconfigured your firewall, sorry to say. You're either blocking a local service (like a dummy process for things that used to run on the master server when it was an mmo) or didnt block enough to make the game think it's offline and got it stuck in a bugged state. As for the original question, singleplayer fully works offline.

i had no idea asking my dumb question would spark all this.

The amount cluelessness in these responses is hilarious. The developers have already confirmed that the game needs access to the servers if steam is not set to offline mode. It is not a firewall issue, it is an issue with the game coding. The game checks to see if steam is in offline mode, if not it calls to a server, if it can not reach that server your game will not load.
I personally can allow or deny access past my firewall from every program as it is run, but others may not be able to. This will be a continuing issue and you will see more and more threads pop up with people complaining that the game will not load until this is fixed.

Enough said. Nobody is interested in your "trust me bro" opinions. You are wrong and you should feel bad for spreading missinformation.

No. One of the devs literally said that you can play offline. This game has no servers. For coop it uses peer to peer connection. Only online thing is with cloud saves on steam.

The easiest thing to check if offline mode works is by unplugging your cable and cut internet connection physically. I tested it. Game works and loads saves (that are saved locally on your harddrive and synched with steam cloud whenever you get online).

Topic can be closed.
