Anyone else being thrown back into main menu after selecting your character?

I selected the tank guy, and now the loading screen is cancelling and it throws me back to main menu screen. How do I fix this?

Had the same happen, restarted the game and it worked again.

This is usually an issue with writing to your AppData folder. Check your permissions, restart the game and try again!

How do you check your permissions? I've tried checking the integrity of the game files, but to no avail.
I just bought the game. Hoping to play tomorrow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just close the game and start it again. That fixed the issue for me.

Issue still persists.
I get reverted back to the main menu, when I try to continue the game with my character. It loads and says "Traveling to the Gloom" then stops and reverts.

I have the same problem as well. Just bought and installed the game and get an infinite loading saying "travelling to the Gloom" after i select my character.

just dont try to load up an earlier save it will still will kick you to menu but now that new save you picked is your most recent save lost out on 40 min and some really good daggers at the time cause of this ♥♥♥♥ up on my part

Play on a windows account with administrator privileges.

Delete your config folder. It is in the Wayfinder saved directory (appData -> Local ->Wayfinder -> Saved). The game will generate a new one when you open it.
