Bad Steam Deck Performance
Am I the only one having really bad Steam Deck performance? I don’t understand how this game can be verified while it runs that bad on the Deck.

The gloom/dungeon areas have great performance and are really smooth but as soon as you go back to the Highlands, the fps drops to something like 15-20 fps. To get a constant 30-40 fps in those areas, you need to use FSR with the lowest settings and the game looks terrible. A shame for a game with such beautiful style.

Games like AC, Visions of Mana, etc have amazing graphics with much better performance. Are there any plan to optimize the game for it to run better on the Steam Deck?

My issue is in the frost area. I've reset to default per the devs suggestions and then tweaked stuff accordingly but I still get a freeze up in frost region sometimes in 5 mins other times it takes an hour and it generally happens without warning. Anywhere else or in dungeons it's flawless

for me, the forest maps is quite bad (as low as 20fps) , but thats it, e verything else seem either good or good enough (40+)

i tested the FSR option but it was way too ugly.
if your steam deck is the only PC you have, you can try playing docked, i found having it connected to an external screen gives slightly better performance.

I have not made any new videos on the game lately but was trying out steam game recording so if you see any lag in the video it was when game recording when first came out, with out it, it's stable. Only part at times fsr is buggy I had to turn it off, been using it with out it.

Ty, i was having too many issues and just put in a refund. Ill check back in with this game from time to time to see if they make the performance improvements. Thanks!

Not even surprised to see performance is still awful and nothing has been done to rectify it.

It's much more stable with out fsr on my steam deck what I turn off gives to many performance problems having fsr on. Thats works for me.
