so you are just getting VERY unlucky
Are you tracking the quest? I've never had an active quest that I'm tracking be random.
The boss should appear at the end of the dungeon and I believe the quest will update as there's a little side thing that you have to do after defeating it that I don't want to spoil.
There are videos on youtube that will explain more too if you don't care about spoilers.
Edit: for clarity - The very first time you meet the whisperer is random, but once it escapes and you get sent to the huntmaster for the active quest chain it should not be random again. ( at least it wasn't for me, but I always track quests I'm actively doing )
First thank you for the help. So after ryvn randomly spawns first time u eventually get a chain said quest. Huntmaster eventually will send u on a quest called whisper on the wind. You enter repository of knowledge with 2 shadow imbuements. From there, there will be a random event where u lure ryvn back. That's what I'm stuck on. I only ran it 5 times yesterday. But someone in the discord was verifying for me and got it on his 3rd run. Just a grind
I´ve spend a ton of time in the dungeon thinking I may have missed some interaction point.
Then I checked my inventory over and over for the item that is supposed to lure the whisperer.
All in all it feels more like a bug than intentionally random.
At the very least, the quest desciption should be adjusted to properly inform players.
But imo it would be better to just remove the random element.
It´s fine for loot, but not for quest objectives within a dungeon imo.
