wish we had multiple character slots

I play one game in co-op with a friend, wish there was another for me to solo play with a different class.

There is no reason to have multiple saves as you can switch between characters in the pause menu at any time.

no it does not reset

If you start a new game it will overwrite your progress but at a pretty early point of the story you get the ability to unlock new wayfinders and change them at will.

You can freely swap between characters at any time, with no impact on your story progression. Just imagine that all the playable characters - Wingrave, Silo, Niss, Senja, Kyros, Venomess, and Grendel (plus the upcoming unreleased Wayfinder) - are all part of the same posse and thus share the same campaign.

That said, there is currently only one save file, so if you start a new game, you will reset your progress. I cannot speak to whether or not multiple save files are in the works for the future.

We're looking at save slots closer to 1.0. But as others have mentioned you can also just backup the entire directory that has your saves in it, and then delete the existing saves and swap the files back and forth.

I think people want this just because they want to play the story again.

The co-op also scales to your own level. So say you are a higher level at 24 and your buddy is level 11, you as a level 24 will do damage similar to your buddy since it scales. So you won't be crazy strong and one shot everything. I play the game with my friend and I'm way ahead of him but I'm not steamrolling the whole game when we play together.

Don't know why people keep forgetting that the game scales with the host and it's balanced that way.
