game performance is pretty bad looking to try and fix it
okay so heres my specs
GPU: Geforce RTX 2060 SUPER
CPU: Intel i9 9900k 3.60 ghz
Motherboard: inetl asus PRIME Z390-P (LGA1151)
Memory: 32GH DDR4
OS windows 11.

so know you can see what i got. geforce optimizes wayfinder to ultra settings but even on lowest i find the game to be vary laggy chopper fps drops and stutter when i look around forget moving around just moving my mouse from left to right drops my frames.

so im finding it hard to play this, i even played this game in beta stage and found it performed better in beta alpha stage then open pay for ready.

soooo any ideas what i can do?

You might want to wait for the next patch which supposedly drops in about 4 1/2 hours from now.
While it won't fix fps drops, the upcoming inventory limit will help a bit with lags once players got rid of most of their stuff.

As for fps, don't just set everything to low. Try limiting fps through either ingame settings or by Nvidia system panel. It probably won't look as great as you'd like it to be, but perhaps it will at least be playable.

Should neither work for you, you might try a refund and then check back on f2p release hoping for better optimization.

However, since it did work for you in beta the current stress on server by player inventories is the most likely cause for a wide range of issues. Patch most certainly won't fix all of that, but it's worth checking out how much (if any) has improved post patch.

In any case, you should contact their support with your specs. Due to the huge amount of complaints they currently have to deal with it might take a while for you to get a reply though.

We need to know your monitor, are you 1080p/1440p/4k? What's the refresh rate?

Probably because your DLSS is set to performance with low settings

fwiw I had smooth performance and no lag until 2 patches ago and it has been worse with the patch today. feels like something changed on the backend

Damn.. all these replies and not a single person asked the most obvious question...
Do you have the game installed on a m.2/nvme?
(resolution comes next of course... but stutter etc is usually a bottleneck between the disk or the gpu having texture streaming issues.)
If you can clear the texture cache for the game that should solve any major issues.

5700x with 6700 XT. The game runs horribly on all settings for me.

3600 cpu + 3070 gpu + 32 gb ram playing @ 1080p = no lag or stuttering except sometimes when approaching the portal in town
