It's not even a Digital Extremes game they're just the publisher and how are they a parasitic company? In Waframe there's no paid seasonal passes, no gacha, no loot boxes, premium currency is beyond easy to get via trading bps, if anything it's the ideal model. If it's the waiting for things to finish in the foundry just sleep on it plus the only $ only items in the game are cosmetics *designed by community members as part of the tennogen program where they get 30% of the sales with non of the overheads of running a video game.

I have over 3k+ hours in Warframe, until i decided to quit it few years ago mostly bcs of this massive mtx bs & other let's say it in a decent way "underhanded subtle actions, methods". But i paid for the Waytfinder bcs i liked the idea of it & that bcs is a different producer, but even so with DE as a publisher made this wanabe wayframe style game to be killed unborn. 1 week later nothing been done to make the game playable, they just wait for peoples to leave until few hundreds left , queue gone & those only few to play it. Well they had them chance and prety much that is what is going on, peeps moving on to other way better games that being released, no time to waste hours in a forever queue just to get kicked minutes later & repeat.

Its always funny seeing the Well have u see the cost of a new prime, Shows how they have played zero hours of the game. alone it might take u a day to farm a new prime, With a group a few hours..

The better argument is all the Pay for Convenience stuff they do that Borders P2W, And sometimes they do release P2W stuff but "usly" take it down..

At the end of the day tho, there is a LOT of stuff you can never buy that are real Power Items. Anyone remember the kuva weapons?? those are a Hell of a Grind even if u buy the Siphon cards ahead of time.

I have 2600 and then some before steam.
I have every achievement in the game
I'm also a legendary rank player

Warframe isn't as cracked up to be. People should re-roll acccounts to see just how bad it really is. It's mtx all over the place. -but hey! you can spend hundreds of hours farming for parts worth 2-6p and eventually you can maybe get something. I've personally had over 100,000 platinum at one point in time. As bragging rights, but the game is inherently evil with it's practices. I look forward to soulframe, but at the same time I know it's going to be nickle/dimed to hell. Maybe then you'll notice what every other veteran has.

You can get 90% of the content free, and it's evil? somehow?

You might not like this fact, but Warframe has one of the best free to play business models in the industry. You don't have to like it, but it's a fact.

don't listen to mad boys. their free to play system is actually the best i ever seen. you can get everything in game ( @warframe) easily without spending any real money. simple as that, just because their "premium" currency in game is tradable between players, so for example you can drop valuable items and sell it to another player for premium currency.

Thing is.. most people aren't.

I can understand people place the game on a pedestal but you're spending hundreds of dollars potentially on a game.. yet here we have No Man's Sky.. a much better overall game without all the psyop mtx. Weird.

Plus while the game is "technically" free, it is isn't because someone else is paying for you. Platinum doesn't just fall from a money tree in your dojo either. You have to invest time, and patience to even trade. You have to grind specific repetitive missions over and over for relics.. and maybe just maybe you get something worth some platinum.. now you have to play the market to sell it. That's a pain onto itself since there is no auction house in the game.. it's one on one trading.. and a lot of traders try to scam you for the value of what you're selling. You have to use market sites outside the game to even remotely get fair trades. So while you could "enjoy" the game for free it's not without a lot of work to do so. If you intend to buy things the mtx isn't fair either.
