You can like the game, not like the game, feel that it's good value or not. I've more than got my money's worth out of it, though I think I'm burning out and I don't think it has the sustain I'd need for longer term play. But this term "predatory" is just dumb. It is.

"Preying" on people is when you take advantage of their inherent weaknesses in an unconscionable way. If someone is almost homeless and you make them sign a terrible lease so they aren't on the streets, that's predatory. Payday loans, even within lawful limits most places, are very possibly predatory. The entire tobacco industry is arguably predatory.

What inherent weakness of yours is the game exploiting when it offers to sell you something for money that you can't get for free? Do you really lack all impulse control? Are you unable to walk through a store without leaving with your arms full? Are you a toddler lacking any appreciation of value relative to cost?

You want something and it isn't free. That isn't predatory. It may be terrible value. It may make you feel like the game is P2W. It may annoy you so much you quit. That's all fine. But it isn't predatory unless you are a small child who stole your mother's credit card to buy it. If you're an adult, take some responsibility for yourself.

About Wormwood, I got one Vestige of Senja's Glory which is supposedly dropped from Wormwood. I think I got it while doing the main quest but I don't know how, when or where I got it from. So now I'm only missing 2x vestige of Senja's Glory to summon Senja. Sad

There have been instances of wrong drops. I too find stuff like weapon vestiges at weird places sometimes.

it is predatory.. they KNOW we live in an age of instant gratification.. and they KNOW a lot of people have disposable income.. so.. they "whoopsie.. we forgot to put that boss in.. it will be in a month or so"

but the people playing right now.. don't want to wait a month or so.. so they bite the bullet and shell out the money for the weapon they want to play with.

that it why it is predatory... it is done purposefully, and deliberately. A LOT of companies do this with all sorts of things. it's a business practice.. its scummy as all ♥♥♥♥.. but it does work, that's why they do it.

its not instances of wrong drops.. the 3rd chest from any dungeon has a very small chance (0.001%) to drop any essence, or weapon/hero matts

I have gotten many essences doing this while leveling my chars.
