#1 - Do you have proof of this? Please share if there is proof the reasons were shady? I would like to see that please.
#2 - Yes it would be nice if they would post more frequently to the Steam Discussion Forms for sure. Very few developers who use steam for a Third-Party sales and release platform do this so its an established precedent so not surprised to see it but would be nice. They are pretty active in response to their Official Discord. But I dislike that standard as well.
#3 - Expecting a working product when something is "unfinished" is actually not fair as established by the Terms of Service you have to agree to to play that unfinished product so #3 is invalid statement. Its why its good to spend the time to actually read those for early-access games so you have an idea of how much butt covering a developer is doing since the more you see the more insight you have into how worried you should be for said products development future.
#4 - None of us can really make a statement here until they reveal their employee roster. They very well could be a bunch of new faces to the industry. Best to wait to rag on them until you can be sure or you risk looking stupid. Chill dude and wait until you can be sure.
#5 - Did they promise a smooth start? I don't remember ever hearing that in their interviews. Do you have proof of this? Please share if its true.
#Last - If people buy a package for a product that is already listed as an "Unfinished Early Access Product" and they get upset then too bad. They only have themselves to blame. They should have done some research, been patient and waited for more information or until the opportune time to decide like many mature adults do. Giving into buyers frenzy is only the fault of one person. The individual who pennied up before having all the information.
This is officially called BUYERS REMORSE . STOP BUYING PRODUCTS DURING EARLY ACCESS WINDOWS UNLESS YOU HAVE DONE YOUR RESEARCH AND/OR ARE WILLING TO RISK LOSING THE MONEY ON A DUD !
If you can't do that then you are responsible for companies continuing this trend and you should keep your gap shut since your literally paying companies to keep doing this to you. If you can then welcome to the world of mature adulthood. Get in line and silently wait with the rest of us.
Have fun being miserable ig
I'm in my early 40's and I still game, I stream, I upload to youtube, and there isn't a damn thing wrong with it.
Here is your proof you ignorant man
Wayfinders,
We’re ironing out some final issues to ensure a smooth start to early access for players on PC and PlayStation and need additional time.
This means we will be delaying the start of early access on PC by a couple of days. Wayfinder will launch on Steam and Founders Packs will go on sale August 17 at 12 p.m. CT.
Both Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes’ teams are working tirelessly to ensure the best possible start to early access for Founders - we apologize for the delay. We look forward to meeting you in Evenor this week, and to commencing our journey together with you.

MORE ABOUT THIS GAME
Then there is this
Revealed late last year during The Game Awards, Wayfinder is being developed by Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes and is an interesting blend of MMO and action-adventure gameplay. The upcoming character-based MMORPG-lite as we've called it was originally slated to hit Early Access on PC and PlayStation on May 10th, however based on feedback and a need to add more polish, the team is delaying it to Summer 2023.
"We have been working hard preparing for the next Closed Beta and Early Access. Originally, we had announced that the Global Closed Beta would be this month and Early Access would be coming in May. With all the excellent feedback we have received from you, the community, we decided we need more time to polish the game and add new community requested features to give you the best experience possible for our biggest Beta yet."
If this is no proof, then idk what the duck you are asking for
here's what's wrong with ur "rant"
1- this is an early access game, you have no authority on ranting on how the game's state is, you knew the game would launch as a buggy mess and you bought it regardless.
2- 3 day without posting is not a LONG time. When warframe launched in 2013, it was WAYYYYY worse. they'd go weeks without posting ♥♥♥♥. There're devs who don't even communicate at all and only do so when needed to.
3- you don't work at neither DE nor Airship. Your reason for calling them unprofessional is libelous and clearly baseless.
4- Last minute errors show up all the time. Servers couldn't take the influx of players, so they got taken down for maintenance, big f'n deal...
5- Receipts exist for this. if someone didn't get their correct pack, then they should contact support and show them their receipt.
All in all, you're making this look like a disaster, when it's simply the standard procedure for when ♥♥♥♥ goes awry.
What you are saying is irrelevant and meaningless, since when money is involved everything changes, regardless if you agreed or not to their ToS.
Learn the meaning of "ignorant" before you use it by the way. Your using it incorrectly. Which means you are in fact ignorant. I swear there are some entitled uneducated individuals on these forums lately. A bleemin shame.
Here is what they said before May 10

While i understand that, they had 3 months to provide a smooth launch, then there is this

Pls for the sake of everyone just leave and stop screaming, you aren't going to change anyone's mind for those of us here who are actually here to support the devs.
