stop defending bad busyness behavior
Lets start with one thing, the negative review is well deserved, and i`l tell you why.

First and foremost, they delayed the game at least 2 times (that i know) and for shady reasons.

Second reason, there is literally 0 communication between them and the people that tested the game (not counting discord, since i have no knowledge of what happens there), if you don`t believe me,look at their update posts on the steam main page, last post was on 15 August with the "We are ironing the problems so we will provide you with a smooth launch".

Now for third reason, Since you pay for an unfinished/unpolished product, you expect it to be at least in working condition,so you can give them the positive/negative feedback. This does not apply here.

Fourth reason, there is 0 real professionalism from their team, witch brings us back for the bad reviews, they are so clueless that it feels like they have 0 experience when it comes to games and server hosting (witch it might be,since from what i heard the problem started from IT division).

Fifth reason, never promise for a smooth start if you can`t uphold it, that was their biggest mistake and the real reason the game got review bombed and refunded.

Last reason, there is the sheed show with people that bought Exalted packs but in game they have the basic pack, that made them even angrier.

Now after this there will still be people on copium thinking that the game should be forgiven since its EA launch, but i`l tell you this , when money are involved there is a different story, because when you loose money that`s something else.

Here are a few grains of salt to take with your posting...

#1 - Do you have proof of this? Please share if there is proof the reasons were shady? I would like to see that please.

#2 - Yes it would be nice if they would post more frequently to the Steam Discussion Forms for sure. Very few developers who use steam for a Third-Party sales and release platform do this so its an established precedent so not surprised to see it but would be nice. They are pretty active in response to their Official Discord. But I dislike that standard as well.

#3 - Expecting a working product when something is "unfinished" is actually not fair as established by the Terms of Service you have to agree to to play that unfinished product so #3 is invalid statement. Its why its good to spend the time to actually read those for early-access games so you have an idea of how much butt covering a developer is doing since the more you see the more insight you have into how worried you should be for said products development future.

#4 - None of us can really make a statement here until they reveal their employee roster. They very well could be a bunch of new faces to the industry. Best to wait to rag on them until you can be sure or you risk looking stupid. Chill dude and wait until you can be sure.

#5 - Did they promise a smooth start? I don't remember ever hearing that in their interviews. Do you have proof of this? Please share if its true.

#Last - If people buy a package for a product that is already listed as an "Unfinished Early Access Product" and they get upset then too bad. They only have themselves to blame. They should have done some research, been patient and waited for more information or until the opportune time to decide like many mature adults do. Giving into buyers frenzy is only the fault of one person. The individual who pennied up before having all the information.

Let this be a lesson to you

This is officially called BUYERS REMORSE . STOP BUYING PRODUCTS DURING EARLY ACCESS WINDOWS UNLESS YOU HAVE DONE YOUR RESEARCH AND/OR ARE WILLING TO RISK LOSING THE MONEY ON A DUD !

If you can't do that then you are responsible for companies continuing this trend and you should keep your gap shut since your literally paying companies to keep doing this to you. If you can then welcome to the world of mature adulthood. Get in line and silently wait with the rest of us.

Wayfinders,

We’re ironing out some final issues to ensure a smooth start to early access for players on PC and PlayStation and need additional time.

This means we will be delaying the start of early access on PC by a couple of days. Wayfinder will launch on Steam and Founders Packs will go on sale August 17 at 12 p.m. CT.

Both Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes’ teams are working tirelessly to ensure the best possible start to early access for Founders - we apologize for the delay. We look forward to meeting you in Evenor this week, and to commencing our journey together with you.

MORE ABOUT THIS GAME

Then there is this

Revealed late last year during The Game Awards, Wayfinder is being developed by Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes and is an interesting blend of MMO and action-adventure gameplay. The upcoming character-based MMORPG-lite as we've called it was originally slated to hit Early Access on PC and PlayStation on May 10th, however based on feedback and a need to add more polish, the team is delaying it to Summer 2023.

"We have been working hard preparing for the next Closed Beta and Early Access. Originally, we had announced that the Global Closed Beta would be this month and Early Access would be coming in May. With all the excellent feedback we have received from you, the community, we decided we need more time to polish the game and add new community requested features to give you the best experience possible for our biggest Beta yet."

If this is no proof, then idk what the duck you are asking for

jesus christ, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for the stupidest reasons...
here's what's wrong with ur "rant"

1- this is an early access game, you have no authority on ranting on how the game's state is, you knew the game would launch as a buggy mess and you bought it regardless.

2- 3 day without posting is not a LONG time. When warframe launched in 2013, it was WAYYYYY worse. they'd go weeks without posting ♥♥♥♥. There're devs who don't even communicate at all and only do so when needed to.

3- you don't work at neither DE nor Airship. Your reason for calling them unprofessional is libelous and clearly baseless.

4- Last minute errors show up all the time. Servers couldn't take the influx of players, so they got taken down for maintenance, big f'n deal...

5- Receipts exist for this. if someone didn't get their correct pack, then they should contact support and show them their receipt.

All in all, you're making this look like a disaster, when it's simply the standard procedure for when ♥♥♥♥ goes awry.
Azazel Aug 18, 2023 @ 1:23pm
Its not like i`m talking from my ass, there are a lot of proofs out there and if what i provided you don`t serve as proof, then idk what you ask for, maybe an inside job video or photo, idk really what "proof" means to you, since i looked for this game for a long time and i saw posts about it in the first place

What you are saying is irrelevant and meaningless, since when money is involved everything changes, regardless if you agreed or not to their ToS.

Learn the meaning of "ignorant" before you use it by the way. Your using it incorrectly. Which means you are in fact ignorant. I swear there are some entitled uneducated individuals on these forums lately. A bleemin shame.

That is in fact quite incorrect. A terms of Service agreement you agree to means your legally obligated to abide by and allocate your actions within the confines of the terms stated. So wrong. You fail again Azazel. More ignorance.
