Getting started

Is there any sort of getting started guide for complete newbies? I seen this on some twitch channels but I'm still pretty clueless on how things work.

Not yet, but the game itself is pretty simple. Are you asking as a viewer or as a streamer? I'll see what I can do to help.

Both I guess. I watched some races but didn't taker part because I didn't know how but I would like to maybe run some races when I start to stream on twitch.

If you find yourself in a stream that is playing Marbles on Stream, at the beginning of the race all that anyone in the chat needs to do is type !play - then a marble with your name will be put in and when the streamer starts the race it is random and there is no way to control it so it is all up to fate!
If you'd like to stream it simply download from Steam and log in with you Twitch information, then when you have the game open and you go to the race tab and choose a race, anyone can come into your Twitch chatroom and type !play and they will join. There is lots to explore in MoS as well such as community built tracks and tilted mode. The community gets together on Fridays at PixelbyPixelStudios stream to hang out, have fun and try to win exclusive prizes or coins for the game.

Thanks for the replies. I ran two simulated races and plan to watch some of the videos so hopefully that will give a better understanding on how to set up races.

Marbles on Stream is whatever you want it to be really. It can be a game, it could be a platform you use to start off your stream to help interact and keep chat involved while you warm up. You can use it as a platform for creativity, using our Cinecam and other tools to create high quality visual content. Maybe you are waiting on a queue for another game, throw up some marbles and fill the time. Then there is the extreme, are you competitive, do you want to partake in the season structure and take on the place of a racer, playing in many streams and pushing the limits to gain the most points possible during the season, or as a streamer and host races to top the leaderboard an maybe get your emote in the game. From our end we want you to use marbles how you want and how it fits YOU. If it does not fit, respect. If you have any more questions we are simply a post or discord DM away.

There are also many aspects that can push creativity and skill. Such as the community track builder where you can build tracks and share them on the game for anyone to try. You can build your own local leaderboard point system and run tournaments or grand prix to your liking. You can even run a race to see what you want to have for lunch, anything really. There is a "Tilted" mode where you advance through different levels by tilting the track itself with the marbles on the track. Lots of competitive aspects and fun aspects surround this game, or streaming service.. or let's say premium streaming game service :)

Hello Everyone, I have a question. Ok, if I'm streaming marbles from community maps... say like i stream 100 races, then played in arcade mode, will that reset them 100 races i ran on community maps?
