Save system is needlessly punishing
After opening the rib-cage door in Lust'ghaa with the weird spear object, I decided to explore the room that opened and fell to my death... only to respawn maybe 3 minutes of progress back in time.

I hope the full game has more frequent save spots so that stupid deaths like those are not annoying.

Hi, the full game is still in development and some things can always change. We'll remember your suggestion and consider it :) Thank you for feedback!

oh noes, whole 3 minutes? that's nothing.

Hursti, I would be OK with, for example, a difficult fight going back to the beginning if I died in it. It's designed that way to be challenging. But I had just opened a major door and there was no danger in sight, so the game should have saved there. The fact that I'm being punished for doing what I'm supposed to do (explore) feels like it goes against the spirit of a game like this.

I second having an option to save, even if it comes as an option to "unlock" in the menu, so most players won't use it. Like censorship.
While i don't care much, i also love to explore and feel the game, and don't mind difficulty. But when you have to quit the game and can't save, and have to re-do things, it becomes a bit boring.

Boring because a game like Lust series is an extremely good experience, and doing simple things more than once just because you can't save is not cool, it breaks immersion (at least for people like me who likes to enjoy the game as if i am the character itself).

Of course, dying to a boss several times is expected, and the checkpoint in LFD was at a nice place, so i think you'll still do a good job on this, but anyways.
There's another topic on this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1170820/discussions/0/1642052612858313787/

Suggestion:
Add more checkpoints, and a "load" page where we can see them. Maybe minor checkpoints and major checkpoints.
Minor is between big changes to the game, and major for like, when you turn in quests or enter a new place after exploring for a long time.
You could be able to load these major checkpoints and when quitting the game, a screen would show you your last saved place (minor), just as information, so you know where you are going to come back to.
Better than having to quit and returning and not even knowing what you have to do again.
And if you feel like doing a "stage" again, you can load.

As much as a lot of us like that old unforgiving game system, some just want to enjoy and experience the game.

I think this is p[erfectly stated (above). Great suggestions...hopefully they're not too difficult to implement for those of us that can't sit at their computers for hours at a time uninterrupted

I guess you didn't consider it enough, because Lust From Beyond: Scarlet suffers from the same save BS.

I think game will be just better with manual save system. Why not add it?

The number of games I abandonned because of IRL events forcing me to quit and having to redo it all and again having to quit and redo... Just having one temporary save could have saved those games from boredom abandonment. Seriously, there is nothing more frustrating than having to redo an entire level four time because real life will not let you enougth time to finish it or because a member of your family decided to turn of your rig while you are gone to do something for them "to save power usage since you are not using it at the moment" I lost my first attempt to a perfect run of Zelda on NES That way. Since you only have the option to save when you die, when my mother turn off the console while a was doing a chore for her after diner, I was back to the very start of the game while i was about to enter the last dungeon. Ten years later, I discovered that it was possible to save using the start button on the second player pad. That was not written on the user manual. :steamfacepalm:
