How to uncap the frame rate?

My frame rate is capped at 65. Even when i force my refresh rate to 144 or 240, it's still stuck at 65

i did install that al in one installer, i should've mentioned it when i made this

before i did install, it was capped at around 33? FPS, but after installing the all in one installer, it's capped at 65 FPS, which is kinda odd

Use dgVoodoo 2 to force higher refresh rates. There are instructions here: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/XIII#Video

Hmm, i used other tools to force higher refresh to be 144, checked "disable full-screen optimisations" and added the line DesiredRefreshrate=144 under [D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice] in XIII.ini, which is a UE2 command to force higher refresh rates, but it's still capped at 65 FPS. I did try dgVoodoo 2 as well, but it's still capped at 65 fps :/

Exact same problem. 144hz moniter here, tried dgVoodoo2 and capped at 65 fps.

And I've got 65 fps witthout dgVoodoo2, so this soft does nothing for me (patched the game on 1.4.1.2).

This mod is for GOG, not Steam.

it works on steam. steam and gog versions have the same files i believe

I started playing with 65 FPS it's not terrible, but yes kinda disapointing for a 17 years old game on recent hardware.

Weird, I haven't done a thing to the framerate and I'm getting over 118FPS (During gameplay, not cinema), I was going to lock it at 60 but it's so stable I don't need to.

Finished the game locked at 65 fps. It's enough at the end. It's not like it's a fast fps btw.

Hmm, weird how it runs at 118 FPS for you. Is it fully locked at 118 FPS, or does it go above that? Do you have the mod patch installed?

The way XIII does it's frame limit seems pretty weird.

Of course 65 is still perfectly playable for a game like this, but it would be nice to play it at higher frame rates whenever possible, because there doesn't seem to be any huge physics bugs that i've heard of at least...

dgVoodoo2 method worked just fine for me. make double sure you followed all the steps from the guide correctly.
