There was also a French-made, TV-movie that stars Val Kilmer as The Mongoose. No joke. It's awful.
I played the original PS2 version at the time it was relevant and I can tell you now that a sequel would've been amazing. Unfortunately, this never happened and the most that has come out of it are other adaptations including another new game. I've been eager to see this story continued, with its mechanics greatly expanded, but sadly we'll have to settle for the remake for the first game.
It's a shame. Would've been an interesting franchise and motion picture.
