wow i just passed the game for the first time and iwas hoping for some crazy ♥♥♥♥ to go down & final conversation with the black girl but the ending is left on hanger??? are we ever gonna see the sequel? are they gnna continue this in the remaster? i rlly dislike how the remaster looks like. played xiii way back in the past but never finished past the snow levels

Just finished it 2 hours ago, and some bot matches. I'm really looking forward to the multiplayer without ubisoft connection requirements.

Actually, there was a sequel in 2007, called "XIII 2: Covert Identity". It was a sidescroller for mobile phones that contindued the story

Actually it was Lost Identity and it was a Hidden Object game.

I'm pretty sure the story was resolved in the graphic novel. IIRC the game is essentially encouraging you to read the source material.

There was also a French-made, TV-movie that stars Val Kilmer as The Mongoose. No joke. It's awful.

Actually it was Lost Identity and it was a Hidden Object game.

Lost Identity plays in the same universe based in the comics, but did not continue the story of the first game. Covert Identity did

I played the original PS2 version at the time it was relevant and I can tell you now that a sequel would've been amazing. Unfortunately, this never happened and the most that has come out of it are other adaptations including another new game. I've been eager to see this story continued, with its mechanics greatly expanded, but sadly we'll have to settle for the remake for the first game.

It's a shame. Would've been an interesting franchise and motion picture.

XIII is one of my favorite shooters and I've replayed it countless times since release. But honestly the more times I see that 'to be continued' the less I think it's actually necessary. No sequel now will ever capture the same sort of feel that the original has (that 'remake' makes that very clear) so it should just be appreciated as it's existed for the past 17 years, as a standalone one-off title.
