"Early Access" since 2019. FOUR YEARS.
That's wild, man. I wouldn't buy it.

But they NEED those clown points.

I want to dole out clown awards but don't want a poorly thought out and prematurely shared opinion to point-farm, so I'm not awarding the original post. Feel free to continue constructively responding to the original post's idea if you too would like a clown award. Please do not personally attack a person for having a poorly thought out and prematurely shared idea.

Update: I'm now sufficiently clowned out, thanks for those who pitched in.

Isnt this like a one man/small dev team? Most people making games like this dont even last one year, its a sign of commitment that this is four years and still having active updates. Maybe you should make your own game, with blackjack and hookers. Show us how its done?

Yeah, normally Early Access games are a no-go, but here on this game it's only one single developer doing the work. It was May where he also hired another artist and programmer. See https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1169040/view/5373401682969559806

meanwhile warframe is STILL in "beta" since 2013 and most AAA developers "release" their game with less content than even their pre-rendered trailer showcased.

Go buy The Day Before. Sounds like it's right up your alley. Dumb ass. If it says you can't buy it, delete your Win32 folder and it'll let you purchase.

7 days to die is on alpha since 2013 and still being played, I don't get your point.

Valheim is in EA, too. It's doing ok, I think...

Valheim still on Early and Warframe on beta.
Both are awsome and some of my fav games ever and most played.
Necesse is turning into one of them also.:steamhappy:

I find that nearly every EA game by a solo dev who have a functionally complete game and regularly churns out updates has comments like this. In my opinion, these are the types of people EA was best made for - the solo dev who has an actual day job and is doing this during spare time.

Then you've had a bad experience with early access titles? Game has received regular updates for years, and just now got new devs. The term "early access" is very relative to when the dev considers it a completed vision. The main thing is dev activity. As long as it's getting updates, and has a community happy with those updates, then clearly the "early access" is not what you should be concerned about, it should be about the current playability of the title. Which, Necesse is in a perfectly playable state.
Honestly seems like a pretty shallow reason to call a game not worth buying when you can clearly see an excited community and steady updates. A bit of research goes a long way.
