it's obvious Terraria was a Inspiration for the game, which can be seen in how the bosses function and the way they drop loot.
OK, what I said is that it's 2D Terraria, then I saw your topic, suddenly realized I'd written 2D Terraria when Terraria is already 2D, then I went back and edited my dumb mistake. But anyway.
This game isn't as big as Terraria (at least in its current state) but yes it is exactly what you think it is. What I find with the top-down perspective is that I like building my village a lot more. In Terraria I just made stacks of boxes for my dozens of idiot NPCs but in this I like to give them actual nice homes. They also go out and help with your farming and such which is cool, and you can give them equipment to be more useful fighting off raids. But in general coming from Terraria you won't face many surprises.
