Is there a way to split stacks? And various stuff about containers.
Like say if you want to leave half of your thousands of blueberries or stones to your village and take half with or put in your own chest. Much searching and I think a function that use to split stacks now just takes items one at a time with patch? So is there currently no way to split a stack in half in this game?

Also for a different topic, sub holding containers. I get sick of running back to put stuff in chest because my backpack is too full. I wish I could put various stuff in various types of containers in my pack. Like have a container in my inventory that would hold all kinds of ores and broken equipment that turns into ores. You assign what is to go in these sub packs and the game would put it in there automatically when you pick stuff up. Is it realistic? No, but remember the discussion regarding durability in another thread, full packs fall into a similar thing. Especially as you can stack items very high, the issue that fills your packs is variety of stuff. So the more diversity in your game the more of a pain it is to have to keep running back to deposit stuff in more and more chests. Along with the ability to color and label containers so you can remember what each container is for.

You could also pick up chests filled with stuff in the dungeon and instead of having to sort out the items then and there where the game does not pause in inventory and you keep having to notice the damage (since the inventory screen blocks much of the screen) and go out of inventory to deal with yet another attacker, you can just take it all in it's original container and sort it out in safety. Which is another great annoyance I found in the game and this would solve it.

Also it would be nice if I could have two chests next to each other open at once so I could sort their mutual inventories.

Do devs read these forms for suggestions or where is a good place for suggestions? Do devs still listen to suggestions?

Still listening to suggestions, and thank you for those. I read everything in this forum :)
As DysDaemoN mentioned, you can right click on a stack to split it

That only takes 1 from the stack as I mentioned in my OP. I want to be able to split a stack in half. Or split off 10 of something etc.

Right-Click takes half from the stack.
Shift Right-Click takes 1 from the stack.
This is why i asked you if u tried to right-click or shift-right-click at the stack, cause i didnt remember which was which. I just logged in and tried it and found out which is which in less than 3 seconds.

You could have easily done the same.

On the gamepad controller, the ... "back" or "select" button (not the "start" button) will pick up half the stack and then pressing it again will put down one back into the original stack... or into a new stack.

However, we have not found a way to simply take one from the original stack (similar to the Shift Right-Click), with a gamepad. Are we missing something?

I am using a keyboard and mouse but neither took half the stack, I tried many different things right/left/middle button with and without shift, nothing took half the stack

It works just fine for everyone else. You’ll have to figure out how you managed to mess it up. Maybe something you change in the key binds?

Wow, speaking for EVERYONE else. Not good.

You have to right click the stack when it's not in your hands. If it's in your hands it puts down one at a time, right clicking a stack in the inventory picks up half.
