But yea, it'll get a few adjustments in the next update :D
If it being off the beaten path and hard to find is your primary justification, then I just want to attempt to encourage you not to overindulge in that kind of thing, and try to leave some semblance of a bread crumb trail for these things to be found naturally without consulting third party sources. It's nice to have obscure little things that can surprise a player and add some flair to exploration, but if you overdo the obscurity aspect too much - you risk your game becoming a "wiki game", which in turn would throw excitement of exploration out the window because your players would be spending as much time reading about the game as they would playing it.
Well, I've been using it. Helps me cross lava quickly when exploring underground forests, and allows me to traverse familiar territories at a relatively high speed with enough finesse. It's not great, the penalties for hitting an obstacle make it unusuable in most cases, but I figured it works about as well as a boat does baring an occasional rock, and works on land, so I might as well. The broom makes it obsolete, granted, but I made it through the currently available content without knowing about it, so I didn't really have anything else.
But it looks cool. I sure as hell prefer a high tech anti-gravity platform over a house cleaning tool as a means of transportation.
