Witch Broom seems a just a wee smidge absurdly off the hinge overpowered maybe
Compared to the hoverboard which you acquire a whole 2.5 tiers of progression after the Witch Broom (since it's a miniboss reward - you basically get it mid swamp tier), it has far superior handling, a useful feature that lets you fly over things in the overworld, and I'm not 100% sure if their top speed is identical, but after having spent several minutes comparing - I wasn't able to tell the difference between the two. It might as well be a universal all purpose mount, able to quickly travel on land and over water with decent handling and high mobility in rough terrain unless travelling underground, in which case it still has solid handling to work well in there as well.

Figure maybe at least their properties should be swapped, with the hoverboard having the broom's stats and special abilities, while the broom serves as a low tier makeshift hoverboard with the current hoverboard's stats? Although it depends on the amount of mobility power you intend for the players to have in the endgame. If the hoverboard was meant to be the cream of the crop - I guess you ought to just nerf the broom into the ground.

Hmmm, good points prolly, but haven't seen/tried the broom yet. When is the evil witch even doable btw, after the Vulture?

It's very expensive and not a lot of people know that you first have to fight the witches and then talk to the friendly witch. So not a lot of people stumble upon it just randomly playing the game like they do with the hoverboard.
But yea, it'll get a few adjustments in the next update :D
Does anybody actually use the hoverboard? I sell it when I get it. It takes up your boat slot and slows you down if you're not moving in a straight line.

If it being off the beaten path and hard to find is your primary justification, then I just want to attempt to encourage you not to overindulge in that kind of thing, and try to leave some semblance of a bread crumb trail for these things to be found naturally without consulting third party sources. It's nice to have obscure little things that can surprise a player and add some flair to exploration, but if you overdo the obscurity aspect too much - you risk your game becoming a "wiki game", which in turn would throw excitement of exploration out the window because your players would be spending as much time reading about the game as they would playing it.

Well, I've been using it. Helps me cross lava quickly when exploring underground forests, and allows me to traverse familiar territories at a relatively high speed with enough finesse. It's not great, the penalties for hitting an obstacle make it unusuable in most cases, but I figured it works about as well as a boat does baring an occasional rock, and works on land, so I might as well. The broom makes it obsolete, granted, but I made it through the currently available content without knowing about it, so I didn't really have anything else.

But it looks cool. I sure as hell prefer a high tech anti-gravity platform over a house cleaning tool as a means of transportation.
