Light radius?
Is there a list comparing the different radii? There is no tool tip, nor does there seem to be any entry in the wiki?

I've found that double street lamps (I'm past the fallen wizard, so mine are gold ... no idea whether the material would make a difference?) seem to be the brightest. And snow candles can go take a hike *grumbles*

What I would like is some kind of actual list that isn't based on me shortsightedly squinting at my screen and going "yup, I think it might be brighter". Does that exist?

Brightness aside, I don't think there is a mechanically different radius. Even if its less bright, all lights 'cover' the same area, stopping monster spawns. There are pictures you can find online that show the exact spacing needed using torches, but any light can be used. Correct me if I am wrong!

You may well be right. That would explain the lack of any tool tip. I might give that idea a test run (eventually, maybe). If I ever do, I may update this thread.

Thanks for the spacing tip, I'm good with that, though. I was just hoping there are prettier alternatives than plastering light sources everywhere. I'm currently trying to build a nice, orderly looking village and I was hoping to be able to put in a "park" area without too many paths and random light sources. Oh well.

Thank you for the good idea. I searched the steam mods for "light", "illumination" and "invisible" - and there are some options that I'll consider for another playthrough (not quite 100% what I wanted, but that's okay).

As for now, I have "fixed" the issue by using a single wall segment and fixing wall lanterns to all four sides. To my subjective eye, this looks less random than a streetlight popping up in the middle of nowhere. I would have preferred to use a pillar, but that doesn't work.

There is a mod showing which areas are/aren't covered by light so I (hopefully) could use that to figure out the radius question. So, thanks again for your tip!
