Treasure Room Help
I just found my second Treasure Room. This one is a pressure plate flame trap one where you have to follow an invisible path guided by lights. I got through the first one, but can't get past the second.

Are there any tips towards these annoying puzzles?

Thanks.

hi assuming you may have done it by now but it is a little finnicky. the way i did it was literally just repeat after repeat. try to judge the path in grids of 4, and use the like little arrow launchers as another gauge of measurement. you just have to be weirdly accurate with it but you have to complete the path without triggering the trap for the door to open, not just get to the other side alive.

I kept failing so I got off. It kept telling me to go all the way left and then when I do the trap triggered. So I tried down a bit more and it still triggered. I couldn't figure it out so I got upset after dying like fifteen times. Haha

I hate this puzzle so much. :P

yeah i'm literally doing one now and failing horrobly again lol, just make sure to bring a lot of health pots to practice, i'm not definite but this one i just found has the same layout as my first one so i think the path may be the same each time

Not concerned with health because it's like a 30 second trek from the spawn point. Still in the first location. Just go down the ladder, hop on my minecart, there. By time I reach the puzzle my HP goes from half to full. Perfect timing, really. :P

I'm about to go to bed, but I definitely want to pull some more of my hair out when I wake up so I'll let you know. haha :D:

Do you mean the one where you step on the first part and it lights up a path you need to take beside of it?

I just stand on it and get in the proper lane. Then you just run and keep up with/ahead of the lights. That is not trying to memorize it but just follow along. Just sort of rush with it and pay attention how many away it is from the sides of the wall when you need to stop. Most of the time it seems to either touch the wall or have 2 pressure plates on one side you can't touch.

It matches up with your area, so running forward is more easy to match with how far the lights go rather than the sides (for me at least), as you just stop going forward when you are in the same row as the lights, then get a quick count of how many left or right you need to go and start running forward again.

Having the boots that let you sprint when you press shift helps, just don't go too fast and fly off the path! ;)

i do think this is the one yes, as it was the one i was also referring to!
i feel like i follow the path but the path disagrees sometimes even if it is the same one per dungeon haha, but able to navigate them now fine lol

Yeah, it isn't a memory puzzle. Just really annoying.

As @Peaches said the puzzle likes to be difficult and not cooperate. I'm gonna jump on shortly and try again. I might go right even though it says left because going left or down triggers the trap. :P

Okay so apparently it was a me problem. I thought it was telling me to go all the way left but it was like two away. I swear it was all the way. Maybe a visual glitch? Well, I passed it first try this time. :P

Hah! Hard to tell. I know at first what was getting me was trying to memorize it (until I saw there was a lot more ahead) and that it didn't work out to well. But just running with it I've been able to do several without issue.

Still probably the hardest type I've seen, as the other two were basically just stand in a (mostly) obvious safe spot as you move, and running boots made it way easier. Plus if you got hit in them you could keep going without being locked out, so you could brute force bits =P

What didn't help was the second part of that puzzle kept killing me after I had already failed. So here I am, puzzle failed, have to run back to the start, but it keeps activating the flame traps. Like, why taunt me? High chance of killing me.

The first one didn't do that. It triggered once, let me run all the way back and didn't trigger anymore.

I've been meaning to test it, but I keep forgetting, I wonder if you can take a settler and order them to stand on the light switches, so you don't have to panic while trying to count squares.

Definitely try and get back to us if you can - or can't!

When I found this puzzle I did have a companion but I told him to go home.

Turns out you can't issue commands while in the puzzle maps, the option/button is missing and when I tried to get around it by clearing orders and doing the click to guard, it dismissed him from the party. So sad now, can't even tell them to wait at the stairs while you go embarrass yourself.

I'm on this puzzle right now, it's my 1st puzzle room. I'm just so frustrated lmao. Granted, after reading what @Smakit said I've gotten further. I just don't appear to have patience I guess.
