Assistance with mouse cursor mode on Rog Ally
Game works great on the Ally. However, when I click the right stick to enable cursor mode. I am unable to see the cursor but I can still highlight things and move them if I can get lucky enough to land on an item. I tried using my PS5 controller on my PC and the cursor mode works fine. I have the control mode set to auto inside the command center on the Ally as well. Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't have an Ally myself to test on. But could you maybe try to switch to windowed borderless? Maybe to windowed first just to see if it fixes it, and then back to borderless or fullscreen

Hi Fair, the issue still persists after changing through the different displays. However, I uninstalled Armory Crate SE and my graphics driver. Then I reinstalled Armory Crate SE without the graphics driver and the mouse cursor mode works fine in game. However, after reinstalling my graphics driver it doesn't show. Also my ally command center overlay fails to show as well. So I believe it's something to do with the graphic drivers AMD installs. I will try rolling back to a previous version and report back. Thanks a bunch for the reply. Also great game I am addicted to it!

Update: I checked within the AMD adrenaline software and disabled hotkeys function in settings. And I also went into Steam and uninstalled Enhanced Xbox controller inputs. My mouse cursor seems to be working fine now in game. However, my Ally command center doesn't open in the game unless I change to Windowed mode. But I think that is more based on that program than the game. Thanks again!

Final update: I tried opening the Ally Command center on a few other games while in full screen mode and they work fine. When I press it inside of Necesse the cursor changes to a windows mouse cursor and I can't do anything in the game till I press it again. It's like something is not letting the overlay show up. When in full screen but it shows up if it's in windowed mode. So it is opening just in the background I just can't see it while full screen. I'm not sure if it is something you could take a look at or if it is something I would have to relay to Asus.

Hmm, ok.
Could you maybe try another game that uses OpenGL for graphics? The vast majority of games on WIndows use DirectX.
Minecraft java edition, Slay the Spire, Project Zomboid and Mindustry are some examples of other games that use OpenGL I believe

Tried Project Zomboid. The Command window will not pop up on there in full screen either. It opens in the background. So maybe it is a OpenGL issue?

Found a post on reddit. Apparently the Ally's Command center UI doesn't play nice with OpenGL. People were posting about this same issue with RetroArch. Someone said it will work if you enable TripleBuffering in AMD settings. Others say if the game supports using Vulkan, then the UI works without issue. According to some reddit posts I've read. Tools have been made to convert OpenGL to Vulkan. If I were to try that would that break the game in any foreseeable way?

So I tried with triple buffering enabled through AMD control panel. The Command center tab opens now while game is fullscreen. But now when I go to cursor mode I don't have a mouse cursor again lol. However, if I open the control panel and swap from auto mode to desktop mode then back to auto. Everything works fine. I have a mouse cursor and the command center opens. Which that is fine with me as long as I don't break it again lol.

I didn't even know if converting to Vulkan on your side is doable.
It is doable on my side, but something that I haven't prioritized because it will take a while out of development time :/

No worries at all. It seems to be working fine with triple buffering enabled in my AMD settings. Also there is a tool on github that acts as a wrapper for OpenGL to Vulkan. If I'm reading it correctly. But so far it's working great for me so I'm going to just leave it alone lol. Thanks again for your support. Also I love the game keep up the great work!
